Worker convicted after posting stupid warehouse stunts online

Here’s another employee who apparently didn’t think his supervisor knew how to use the Internet.

Matthew Ward worked as a forklift operator for a pipe manufacturer near Melbourne, Australia. That is, until he videotaped himself performing dangerous stunts in the company’s warehouse and posted them to YouTube.

Among other activities, he overloaded the lift to ride on two wheels, burned rubber and drove into piles of concrete pipes. To top it off, he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

He was fired after his boss found the video online.

But that wasn’t all. Ward was also convicted in a criminal court for violating Australian safety laws by putting himself at serious risk of injury or death.

You’ll be happy to know, his forklift license was revoked.
