The scoop on LinkedIn’s new recruiting tool
Trying to take your recruiting online? Social networking site LinkedIn has just released a new service aimed specifically at candidate-seekers.
It’s called LinkedIn Recruiter. Most importantly, it provides tools to help everyone on the recruiting team collaborate on a project. Members of the team can log to view current projects, which are organized into folders.
Also, it keeps track of candidates who have been contacted and their status, which will help avoid the problem of someone being contacted more than once about the same position.
In addition to the collaboration tools, you can access more search results than you can with other accounts (1,000 instead of the usual 500). And you can do more advanced searches, using company, title or keywords to find candidates.
