FaceBook

Your next great employees are probably somewhere on Facebook. How are you going to find them?

Its the seventh most popular site on the Web. About half of its users log on at least once a day. A lot of those people are college students, so its become a natural place to find young talent.

Ernst & Young, for example, has a Facebook page (requires a Facebook account to view) dedicated to finding students who are looking for internships or jobs after graduation.

But it isn’t just young people anymore. Initially it was only open to colleges, but in the past few years has opened up to anyone with an email address. Now, the fastest growing portion of the site’s audience is the 35 and older segment.

But the best part about using the site to recruit: Most of what you can do is free. Over the next few days, we’ll post a series of articles about how to get started with the site and how to get the most out of it.

Tomorrow, I’ll show you how to get started and set up a profile for your company.
